850 breathtaking hectares (2100 acres) with unique natural features:
Several kilometers
of lake shore and a very special peninsula between two lakes:
Lago La Paloma and Lago Azul. As can be seen in the photographs,
both lakes are characterized by their amazing contrasting colors
Both lakes are
connected by a short river adjacent to the property, providing
for outstanding fishing from the coast.
The property
is crossed by the Turbio River which flows into Lago Azul, offering
both fishing and beautiful natural features.
Following the
Turbio River, one can access the Cerro Castillo peak - one of
the most distinct peaks of the Chilean Andes.
The higher section
of the property offers beautiful and isolated lenga forests
Lago La Paloma
and Lago Azul offer outstanding trout fishing. Some international
visitors have fished there, including former president George
Bush.
There is absolute
privacy in the property. It can be accessed only by horse or by
boat, and there are no inhabitants in the surrounding properties. Access by land from Carretera Austral could be developed.
The area of Lago
La Paloma and Lago Azul is well known as one of the largest natural
reserves of Huemul, a protected native deer, practically in extinction
and hardly ever seen in Patagonia. Huemuls often visit the peninsula,
the upper Turbio River, and the lenga forests.
Located only
40 minutes away from Balmaceda Airport, with 3 daily and regular flights
from Santiago plus a 15 minute boat lake crossing.
